What driving licenses are available for motorcycles, and when can I get one?

Motorcycle License Categories
There are four main types of motorcycle license in Hungary:
1. "AM" driver's license
- Engines with a cylinder capacity of up to 50 cm3.
- Available from the age of 14.
- It also comes with a category B (passenger car) driver's license.
2. "A1" driver's license
- Engines with a cylinder capacity of up to 125 cm3 and a power of 11 kW.
- The power/weight ratio of the motor must not exceed 0.1 kW/kg.
- Available from the age of 16.
3. "A2" driver's license
- Motors with a maximum power of 35 kW.
- The power/weight ratio of the engine must not exceed 0.2 kW/kg.
- Available from the age of 18.
4. "The unlimited" driver's license
- There is no power limit, you can drive any motorcycle with it.
- It can be obtained from the age of 24, or from the age of 20 if you have an A2 driver's license for at least 2 years.
